After reading the General rules posted on the Prescott website for the Outlaw classes, referencing Rule #16, and reading the points breakdown specifically in Super Outlaw, My question is how can a car miss a round of eliminations but still continue on to win the race and be awarded the points for the missed round and collect the money for the win?

16. Bye-runs or Comp. Byes MUST stage and take the tree. Failure to do this will result in Disqualification

where does this say they miss a round? they must at least stage and take the tree.
or are you asking what happens when 2 bye runs run each other in the finals that were supposed to have had bye runs in the semis because the decision was made to combine the 2 runs to help save wear and tear on the cars?

I was referring to the semi-final round, 3 cars left in the field, where 1 car staged and made a pass and the other two did not even stage.

That would be Harry and Jerry your talking about, Harry got with the Track Owner and said he would wait on Jerry, the Track Owner said you will screw youself on 5 Points if you want to do that and he can't make it. At the end of the night Jerry did not make it and Harry screwed himself out of 5 Points but that didn't seem to bother him because Jerry would of done the same for him that is what True Racers do. Correct me if my calculations were off: 10 points for entering, 3 rounds @ 5 points each, 2 for a win. Is that the breakdown for 27 points?

LSX I stand to be corrected you are correct in your calculations. That is not my class and I should of just stayed out of it.

Ok, I've heard enough of this crap!!!! It was decided by Jackie, the track owner, that if I wanted to I could go on and run Coldiron for the finals since we were gonna run together anyway next round. What's the big freaking deal, he couldn't out run me anyway, his trans was toast. So now here's the deal to make you gals happy (maybe): I'll run Coldiron in qualifications first or second round or both for the difference in points and MONEY which was 1500 bucks. Now if I win, which I will, Yall drop the nonsence and I get 5 points from Coldiron and his 1500 bucks, but if he somehow does he can have the points and money. Hows that???????? If you guys don't agree then drop it and lets have fun and race. ALL of yall know how to reach me on my cell phone. Jackie, if they agree, let everybody know the grudge racing begins!!!!!!

My original question was without any names for a reason. It specifically pointed out rule #16 and was and still is, intended for a spokes person from this organization to clarify. Since you have replied I must then ask you a question. Were you not aware of rule #16?

Ok, sorry for bringing out names lsx. Everybody knows who and what you were reffering to in your question and I feel if the shoe was on the other foot, you guys would be ok with the decision that was made. Again, if the other party who feels he was treated unfair wants to run next weekend then lets do it. Either way, the decision was made and upheld so lets get this behind us and just try and have fun.

Sir, in my humble opinion, this has nothing to do with individual racers or teams. There are written rules that everyone is supposed to race by. My contention was and still is that it is an issue of not enforcing the rules that needs to be addressed by the Track Officials or Management.

I don't have a dog in this hunt this time. I don't have a bias either. Both racers and track owner are my friends. But the question is a good one regardless of who should have won. If there are rules that govern our actions as racers, do we always follow them or are there exceptions to all the rules? It is a legitimate concern. There need not be any arguments between people, just follow the rules as stated and personal feelings are kept to themselves the rules wont argue back. Everything from qualifying order to running all of your passes. We all follow the rules, everybody wins the expectation of fairness that I know Jackie is trying to achieve. My apologies for injecting my opinion, but I believe strongly this issue of rules being followed needs to be addressed.
Thanks,
Ray

I would offer a suggestion that has worked in the past. If we are going to not follow any one rule ant any one time, get the racers affected together and lay it out as to why. Who can complain if they were given a chose and agreed to do it a certain way? If they can't agree, follow the rule. It's happened several times to me and the outcome was nothing like this. It's over after the discussion. I know it's your track and what you say goes, but this approach is allot easier on your health and the racers as well. I hope this helps.

How do we get on the delayed payment plan? I hear that some don't have to pay entry to event/membership till later in the year but still get to accrue points?? Wth??

If the points are going to be a BIG problem for anyone don't race for the points!! That way YOU are happy. I have been coming to this track for also 25yrs. I see so many unhappy ppl for nothing. Go to Centerville or any where else if you don't like the ways things are done here. IMO,, Al
