Rules in Mean Street?

Post by Spencer Elton on Thu Mar 15, 2012 7:57 pm

Just wondering if N/A cars are allowed to have N0s Solenoids and pluming? Was told that cars were testing with N0s and are claiming N/A weights.Someone correct me but i believe rules should say no Nos on N/A cars.

What's Up Spener
When you coming out to Test? First race is next weekend. I think Jackie had said that No Bottle and Lines have to be caped off. He can chime in on that. With that being said I would think that if a person came to run in Mean Street N/A you would think that they wouldn't have any of that on there. The way I read the rules if you have a Power Adder on the vehicle than it wouldn't be a N/A vehicle But would fit Rule # 2 below. scratch N/A in Real Street you could not have any of that on there

2. Power adder vehicles tire- 28" X 10.5" slick (no W's) or any 275 drag radial - NO WHEELIE BARS
3. N/A vehicles max tire size 29.5" X 10.5" or any 315 drag radial - NO WHEELIE BARS

N/A cars shouldn't have any signs of NOs on them. Tech guys shouldn't have to worry if its working or not.It just shouldn't be on a N/A car .They should take it off just like No E cars with delay boxes.Or they should not be able to claim N/A.

Well bad news. Testing car last nite making trans brake nit to check converter. noticed oil line seeping. Pulled oil line out of pan to replace oring and found metal in pan. Gonna pull engine today and find where it came from. Suspect thrust bearing on crank.

Well removed engine sat morning and pulled pan found thrust brg rear of block peeling outside copper shell, Easy fix new thrust brg and reshim converter to pump depth. Clean up internals of pan and oiling system. should make testing Friday nite.
